Week of March 25

Hello all, I hope my email finds you well.

My daughters and I drove my dad out to the farm to check on his cows today. You see, his cows are pets and love to be given treats as well as be scratched around the ears. The new growth of grass and flowers and the smells (good and bad) brought back memories of when I was young and spent time at the farm. I am so thankful that I can share this same experience with my girls. The weather was so gorgeous and I hope you were able to get out make or share memories with your children as well.

Last week my homeroom had perfect attendance!! I love seeing everyone everyday!! Plus, attendance is so important to your child’s education. Even though our skills are spiraled and reviewed throughout the year, your child misses information along with the opportunity to work on projects when they are not present.

This week will be busy in Room 304:

Field Trip on Tuesday!! Please remember students should wear this year’s cardinal t-shirt, bring a lunch (including a drink) in a clear zip-lock bag clearly labeled with name.

Reading: On Monday, we will go over what the STAAR practice days will be like. I will explain expectations on how to tackle reading test genre.

Thursday is our practice Reading STAAR.

Writing: We have completed our research time in class and will begin writing the summaries for our Animal Research.

Grammar: none due to the busy schedule

Spelling: none due to the busy schedule

Social Studies: Free Economy, supply and demand
