Week of May 13

Dear families, I hope my email finds you well. We have a busy two weeks ahead of us.

This week in Room 304:

Reading: STAAR test Tuesday.

Writing: Students will be able to use the Writing Process for Free Writing and Writer’s choice. We will share on Thursday.

Grammar and Spelling: none

Social Studies: People Influencing Communities and Society: Science and Technology

Homework: none

Classroom Library

Please help your child look for Spring Creek and My Classroom Library books. I am currently missing about one fourth of my book collection. These are books that I have purchased, they were my daughters, or books that have been given to me. It is important these are returned so my students next year may have the same reading opportunities.

Little Free Library Book Drive:

The Little Free Library will be new to our campus in the fall. A Book Drive will be held on Friday the 17th to collect new and gently used books for ages 3 to 12 years of age.

Field Day Friday: An exciting day of events is scheduled for our classes. Tug of War, Field Day Games, Water Field Day Games, and Inflatables. Please apply suntan lotion at home. Hats are welcome. Please wear PE classroom color. Students need to Bring or Buy a sack lunch from the cafeteria. We will picnic in our classroom at 11:15-11:45.
