Hello all, I hope my email finds you well. The weather is as close to perfect as you can get. I hope the kiddos can get out and enjoy it!
Last week was a blur due to jury duty, but I am eager to welcome a new and hopefully more normal schedule this week.
Please begin looking for school Library books and Classroom Library Books, please. They will be due soon!
The Little Free Library will be new to our campus in the fall. A Book Drive will be held on Friday the 17th to collect new and gently used books for ages 3 to 12 years of age. Watch for the flyer for more information.
This week in Room 304:
Reading: Review Context Clues with dictionaries, Theme, Making Inferences, Reading for Detail. We will also discuss test day strategies and how to remain relaxed while giving our best effort.
Writing: Students will be able to use the Writing Process for Free Writing and Writer’s choice.
Grammar: compound predicate A compound predicate is two or more verbs or verb phrases that share the same subject and are joined by a conjunction.
Spelling: The /ə/ sound in the unaccented syllable = e (abdomen)
